Women's Guild

Our Woman’s Guild is now 116 years old.

Started in our church on Lawrence Street in Lowell Massachusetts by our Mothers, Aunts , Cousins and Grandmothers. We carry on the tradition with great pride as we serve our church family,  many organizations in Armenia and community organizations.

What do we do for our church; we organize many of the holiday dinners, support other organizations in our church, this year we will have all 300 of the upholstered chairs cleaned and Ballroom carpet as well.

We have our Altar Committee who decorates the Sanctuary with flowers.

Our Women visit those who are in Nursing Homes or can’t get out of their homes, they provide rides to those who cannot drive to church.

To nourish our own hearts we organized a trip to New York and visited our Bishop and took a tour of the Monastery in Armonk NY on our way home.

We raise money for CASP - we sponsor 2 children in Armenia; it provides uniforms, books and a meal in school. CASP also supports Vanazor the old age home in Armenia, and the Kindergarten breakfast program. We will be having a special program open to all church members in November dedicated to learning about CASP and its programs.

In October we start our food drive for the Lowell Food Pantry and deliver the food in November for Thanksgiving.

The Chelmsford Community is also important to our organization, every year in December we collect winter clothing for the less fortunate.

We elect 2 delegates to attend the Armenian Assembly where both Clergy and Women’s Guild members from around the United States gathered separately to discuss and exchange ideas and opinions. Woman’s Guild discussions are about the future of Women’s Guild.

We meet for socially  twice a year once in June for dinner as we recess in July and August and resume in September and come December we enjoy a Play or dinner together.

Our Women’s Guild members are in multiple organizations within our church we support each other to bring our church together and see it’s growth . We are a collective circle that does not stop giving or growing.
