"Weekend of the Divine Liturgy"
Over the weekend of November 7-9, Sts. Vartanantz Armenian Church engaged in a unique encounter with the Soorp Badarak/Divine Liturgy by hosting the Very Rev. Father Daniel Findykian, who spoke on "Ten Things You Should Know About the Divine Liturgy", followed by the conducting of an Instructed Liturgy on Sunday. According Father Khachatur, the pastor at Sts. Vartanantz, "we felt having the two programs on the same weekend would help intensify the learning experience for our parishioners, and create an atmosphere conducive for a highly spiritual encounter with our most important worship service.“ Prior to Father Daniel's presentation, the congregation participated in an evening service. Father Daniel's first point, "the Divine Liturgy is all about love", set the stage for his inspiring presentation. Father Daniel explained that "the Badarak is the most superb way for us the faithful to experience God's infinite love." Concluding his presentation with the concept, "No one is worthy", Father Daniel underscored the critical importance of how all the faithful need to receive communion as often as possible.
